With President Donald Trump pulling the USA out of the Paris climate accord, China and California signed an agreement Tuesday to work together on reducing emissions, as the state's governor warned that "disaster still looms" without urgent action.

One other aspect of Trump's denial of the science of human-induced climate change is that the White House and the USA federal government will not lift a finger to help US citizens who will (and in some cases are already) suffering from the adverse impacts of climate change. Ige said tides are rising, biodiversity is shrinking, coral is bleaching and coastlines are eroding.

"With today's bill signings, Hawaii is all in - joining the world's leaders, cities across the nation, businesses and individuals in combatting climate change threats, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and leading the way towards a more sustainable future", said House Vice Speaker Rep. Della A. Belatti in a House media release.

Per the bill: "The legislature further finds that agricultural land management practices that sequester carbon could provide greenhouse gas benefits, enhance the sustainability of Hawaii's agricultural lands, decrease sedimentation of the marine environment, improve the climate resistance of Hawaii's agricultural sector and create new opportunities for local farmers".

Comey's insider account is the most detailed one yet of Trump's interactions with the fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

Although originally led by Democratic leaders like Brown, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, several Republican governors have also joined the fight.

President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement has been criticized by major global powers from Europe to South America.

And while North Korea has ratified the Paris climate accord, the United States is poised to join Syria and Nicaragua as the only countries who are not signatories. The United States is the nation most responsible for global warming, and now we're leaving other countries to clean up our mess or suffer our consequences.

In the statement, Comey said Trump asked him to stay behind in the Oval Office after a meeting with a larger group, and as they stood near a grandfather clock, Trump told him, "I want to talk about Mike Flynn".

Google searches for "climate changed" also peaked in the U.S.in the last 30 days, as did searches for "trump" and "trump climate change".

Dozens of mayors across the USA have also committed themselves to meeting the terms of the agreement.

Trump's decision on the Paris accord provoked an angry response from other world leaders.
