It's unclear whether Apple will offer a similar option for families to save a little dough, but if anyone from Apple is reading this, I certainly would appreciate that.

If you're not a current Apple Music subscriber, the Music app only lets you subscribe to a normal monthly plan as pictured above.

Apple Music today has quietly added another subscription option for users.

The new $99 subscription plan compares to the monthly rate of $9.99 a month.

There's a menu hidden in the App Store app that offers an individual annual subscription to Apple Music for $99, TechCrunch reported on Monday. For instance, if you now don't subscribe to Apple Music and head into the Music app to subscribe, you'll see the normal individual, family, and college student monthly rates. Find it by opening the Music app and going to For You Account View Apple ID Subscriptions Apple Music Membership. For $99 you get a year's worth of Apple Music, and in the end you end up saving $20. But if you're an existing subscriber, you can go to your membership settings and switch to an annual plan. Apple has made the new option a bit hard to find, but 9to5Mac explains how to get it.

Will you make the switch to a yearly Apple Music subscription to save a few bucks?
