Golden State Warriors move one win away from record

Tired talk: LeBron dunks idea he's worn out guarding Durant LeBron James: 'I want to win just as bad' as Warriors do

It's great for our league. "I mean, who am I to say if it's fair or not?" The Cavs and Warriors face off in Game 4 Friday, June 9 at 9 p.m. EST in Cleveland.

Yet even with this improvement the Warriors had an answer to that, the screen. James has aspirations of becoming an National Basketball Association team owner in the future.

"I'm not one to judge and say if it's fair or not if guys are adding players to their team", he said. "It happens. It's sports".

On the next possession, trailing by one, Irving tried to go to work on Klay Thompson, who has dogged him the entire series. "Why not? If I become an owner, I'm gonna try and sign everybody". They know that if they can keep the game close by limiting Durant and Curry in the 1st Half, they can win.

With the ardent home crowd behind them, the Cavaliers outscored the Warriors by 11 points and took a 94-89 lead into the fourth quarter of play.

But except for an exaggerated yawn before taking the first question, James was upbeat, satisfied that he has done everything within his power to slow the Warriors, who have toyed with the field for weeks. The three-time champion stopped driving to the basket in the second half of Game 2 and he looked spent on the bench when he took a break during the third quarter. He claimed after the game that he was not worn out, but the load he had to carry in this one sure made him appear so. LeBron said he feels it's part of his calling to go against teams building a dynasty. The eight-time All-Star drilled both free throws to put the Warriors up three, 116-113. Blown out in the first two games, the Cavaliers were much better in Game 3, but just not good enough to beat a team that could go down as one of the best ever.

"And they're playing like one of the best teams once again, and obviously this team is built to be able to do that with the talent that they have".

Despite James' best efforts Wednesday night - he racked up 39 points on 15-of-27 shooting, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out nine assists in 46 minutes - Cleveland was unable to fight its way to victory in what might have been its best showing in three games.

As the ball hung in the air, his plan to win a championship, Golden State's grip on the series, Cleveland's last-gasp attempt to defend its title, all of it was on the line. Irving's missed 3 proved to be one of many missed opportunities for the Cavs last night. And the Cavs made just enough errors to blow a winnable game, and their chance to salvage this series. Then Durant took over. With 52.5 seconds to play and Cleveland ahead, 113-111, James had Kevin Durant in isolation and patiently waited until Korver came free in the corner.

"I would do the same exact thing".
