I Loved Playing at White Hart Lane - Heung-Min Son

Mauricio Pochettino believes Tottenham put in a ideal performance to beat Manchester United 2-1 in their final Premier League game at White Hart Lane.

Diggers have appeared at White Hart Lane ripping up the pitch, less than 24 hours after Tottenham's emotional 2-1 victory over Manchester United at the ground.

Plenty of the best players to have played for the club at their magnificent home ground were present at the game and paid tribute to the stadium. "To get 80 points and be unbeaten at White Hart Lane in the last season here, there are a lot of things to be proud of".

After the interval, the Tottenham hero made it 2-0 after scoring his 22nd goal of this season but Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney squeezed the difference with just 20 minutes remaining.

There was some concern that this Spurs team, after a disappointing match against West Ham last weekend, might slide in the same way that they did at the tail end of last year's title challenge against Leicester.

Earlier, supporters had arrived to white commemorative T-shirts and flags hanging from their seats while the team wore special edition matchday shirts, emblazoned with a one-off White Hart Lane crest. "After that we controlled the game and took our chances", Klopp said. It's a great moment to share with everyone, we're so happy to be here to say goodbye to White Hart Lane and to welcome the new stadium.

But defeat at Tottenham ensured United will finish outside the top four just as it did under Louis van Gaal last season, with Champions League qualification now depending on beating Ajax in the Europa League final.

Former Manchester United defender Neville doesn't expect chairman Daniel Levy to allow Kane to leave with a move to a new stadium on the horizon.

"Of course there's going to be transfer rumours over the summer, but I think I'd be very surprised if most of us are not still here next season".

"This is our last time at the Lane and the day on which we shall bid our grand old home a fond farewell". But the final match at the Lane, with all the energy, enthusiasm, and emotions, were more than enough to motivate Spurs to close their stadium on the highest of notes.

"It is great to achieve second position and it is fantastic for us".
