If Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather takes place, it will likely go down as the most lucrative fight in combat sports history.

The reality is that this fight which has been talked about more than most would have perhaps liked, is now about to finally get agreed and signed. "This isn't something that I'm going to spend a bunch of time on, like I'm going to dedicate the next three months of my life to". "Congratulations to all parties involved".

Shortly after White announced the deal on TNT, McGregor issued a statement to the folks that run his website. "If we can come to a deal with [Mayweather's advisor Al] Haymon and Mayweather, the fight will happen".

During an interview with Fancy Combat, UFC president Dana White said that the UFC has reached an agreement with McGregor for the Mayweather bout. "If we can come to a deal with (Mayweather adviser Al) Haymon and Mayweather, the fight's going to happen".

"If that deal can get done, then we'll get it done".

With these new developments all but confirming McGregor's half, everything now looks to be leaning back on Mayweather and his next step as the fight shapes up to break pay-per-view records. I know why the UFC runs the business the way they do.

The rumored potential date for the McGregor vs. Mayweather bout may have been September 16, but after Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez signed onto the date for their bout, that was promptly eliminated. "I'm starting to work on the Mayweather side now".

McGregor has remained relatively quiet on his proposed super-fight, concentrating on his newborn son, Conor Jr. "This is what the fight fans and MMA fans want to see".
