She got engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian back in December 2016, and now it looks as though she has even more great news. Serena Williams is pregnant, and she shared a great selfie on Snapchat to announce the exciting news.

The tennis superstar posted a picture on Snapchat on Wednesday morning sporting a yellow bathing suit, with the caption "20 weeks". She, of course, announced it all on Reddit. News that Williams friends had "never seen Serena this happy before with a man". Kim Clijsters retired briefly to start a family, then came back to play tennis and won three Grand Slam titles.

There was no official word from her management company, either to confirm or deny.

On the moment he popped the question, she wrote: "At the same table we first met by chance, this time he made it not by chance, but by choice".

"This just adds another dimension to Serena the person", said Jim Andrews, senior vice president with IEG, a WPP Plc unit that tracks sponsorship spending.

She pulled out of the recent tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami citing a knee injury but was scheduled to play at the Madrid Open next month. That was her 23rd Grand Slam title, the most of any player in the Open Era.

Speaking to Glamour magazine a year ago, she said: "I definitely want to have kids one day".

Serena Williams is now expecting the world's next great tennis player - the latest in exciting personal news for the superstar athlete.

"He's incredibly - a really nice person", she told the Daily Mail.
