BJP's success in Manipur also proves that people's trust in policies of the Modi government has reached the far-flung areas of the country as it did not enjoy much support in north eastern states earlier, the resolution said. In fact, they are in charge of 13 states, and share power in four others.

"But the BJP is yet to be at its peak".

After arriving in Bhubaneswar, Shah paid tributes to Dalit icon Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary and later joined his state party colleagues in celebrating the Odia new year.

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi while participating in a discussion on the backward commission at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive meet Sunday intervened and called for "more inclusiveness for those who are backward among the Muslim community". The party leadership is hoping that the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's winning spree in assembly elections will extend to these states as well. There was not a single BJP MLA in the previous assembly but in the Assembly elections in 2017, BJP got 36.3 per cent of the votes and won 21 seats. "But for the remaining two policies, the Prime Minister said that we need to work honestly, as our policies have given faith to the people", he added.

"That sounds like Hitler talking about his 1000-year Reich", said a Congress leader.

Some experts believe that many Muslim women who have suffered because of this practice voted for the BJP for opposing the practice. The Modi government has been quite loud and insistent in its claims of record performances in economy. "The Naveen Patnaik government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people in the state", he said.

"Unfortunately the massive struggle of independence in our country was restricted to few families and incidents", PM Modi said. The national council meeting was held in Kerala in September, then national executive meeting just concluded in Odisha and the next meeting will be in Andhra Pradesh. At present, there is a government of BJP-led coalition in Manipur.

The Chief Minister did not show the courtesy to meet the Prime Minister during his two days of stay in the State. The BJP organised a motorcycle rally to welcome him. The BJP does not seem troubled. People of Odisha has reposed their credibility and confidence on PM Modi. And, Sunday evening, when Modi would touch down in the diamond city of Surat in Gujarat, the sentiment was likely to be no different.

"Our Prime Minister has urged everyone to share the burden of the Muslim women". The air was reverberated with Modi chants by thousands of BJP activists waiting to have his glimpse at the airport.
