Pittsburgh to host 2019 NCAA wrestling tournament

LSU will host one of six gymnastics regionals to be held in 2019 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center along with a men's golf regional in 2020 and women's golf regional in 2021.

The park is turning into a hotbed for rowing. It is just the second DI NCAA National Championship hosted by FSU and the first since the 1996 women's tennis national championships.

The Transylvania men's golf program is no stranger to competing in the NCAA Championship. According to the NCAA website, they received more than 3,000 bid submissions from NCAA member schools, conferences, sports commissions and cities.

The Randal Tyson Center, home to the fastest indoor track in the world, will host the 2021 NCAA Men's and Women's Track and Field Championships, March 12-13, 2021. The Tigers hosted the 2006 NCAA Championship meet in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The 2019 National Championship in Nicholasville will be the first of four upcoming championship sites for Division III Men's Golf awarded on Tuesday by the NCAA, in addition to over 600 other host sites announced by the association. Then it will be Detroit (2020), Pittsburgh (2021) and back to Boston in 2022.

Iowa State University will host a Division I men's golf regional at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes in 2019. The men's and women's races will be held November 17 at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course, the Badgers' current home.

UMHB will also co-host the 2019 and 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championships. In Erie, Mercyhurst will host the women's Frozen Four. The respective NCAA sports committees and the divisional championships cabinets/committees reviewed the bid proposals and selected the sites.

Each year, the Fitzgerald Field House hosts the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic - formerly known as the Dapper Dan - where the top-ranked wrestlers in the nation in each weight class gather to take on the best wrestlers in the state of Pennsylvania.
