Most importantly, their pay cheques are first on the agenda and White has given a rough idea as to how much the pair will be taking home.

Might fighting fans be treated to a superfight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather?

Of course, Mayweather has laughed at White's only offer on the fight, a guaranteed $25 million purse and split of the pay-per-view proceeds. "If the fight sells as well as I think it can, Floyd makes a little north of $100 [million] and Conor makes $75 [million]", White revealed.

However, the 28-year-old has not shied away from talking up a boxing match with Mayweather which would be the most lucrative fight of all time. We really haven't got into that negotiation yet. There's going to be enough headaches getting the fight signed as it is, if it even ends up getting signed. "I'll figure it out".

McGregor and Mayweather have been teasing the potential fight for quite some time now, with the foundation being laid out a year ago today when McGregor announced his "retirement" from the sport after a fallout with the UFC in the lead-up to his initially scheduled rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 200. "I need to figure out the Mayweather side".

McGregor has never fought professionally in boxing and will be a massive underdog headed into a fight with the undefeated Mayweather, who's generally considered the greatest boxer of his era. Maybe the Mayweather side can't be done. That's it. One of the things that we've done and the reason we've built this brand the way that we have, is we always bring people the fights they want to see. I'm going to do my best to see if I can get this thing done. "It's all anybody ever asks me about".

"I'm not saying I can, but we're trying to". So I think if any fight can happen before the Floyd Mayweather fight, it would be fine because we do the same s**t. It's not going to have anything to do with the UFC. What's clear at this point is that the promotion he leads will not be involved from a brand standpoint, and the fight will be in the ring.
