Addressing the media after the event, Adityanath said all below-poverty-line (BPL) households in the urban and rural areas of Uttar Pradesh would get free power connection. "The Central and state governments would meet regularly to review the progress of the programme over the next two years and would strive to achieve the objectives by taking necessary steps as envisaged in this Power for All document", the document said. We will work for everyone.

He reaffirmed that his government would fulfil all the dreams of Ambedkar and BJP idealogue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had made a decision to not distribute over 60 lakh ration cards printed by the Akhilesh Yadav government as they featured a photograph of the former chief minister.

"What message does it send out if a government does not use advanced life support ambulances despite the Centre providing funds", he said.

"Coal and power are in surplus today in the country. Yesterday one crore units of power were purchased", he said. This will also help in industrialisation and job creation.

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is planning to organise mass weddings for poor Muslim girls in the state.

The chief minister chose Ambedkar Jayanti as the occasion to sign the ambitious 24×7 Power For All scheme of the Centre, as he said it was a tribute to Ambedkar, who stood for equality for all, irrespective of caste.

It was also agreed upon to distribute to energy consumers (through electricity distribution companies) energy efficiency bulbs, tubelights and fans at cheaper rates. Later on, 100 more ambulances will also be brought in.
