Tuesday forecast: mostly cloudy with chances of rain

Thursday's highs could hit the low 80s ahead of a cold front sliding in from the northwest. "Minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas will be possible". We could see scattered showers or storms this afternoon; however, the coverage won't be quite as widespread.

There will be a slight chance for scattered showers early Tuesday, with highs in the high 70s.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. A south southwest wind will be 9 to 16 miles per hour, becoming west northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

THURSDAY: There will be a 60 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Winds will be out of the south around 10 to 20 miles per hour.

Wednesday NightPartly cloudy, with a low around 46. Winds may gust as high as 28 miles per hour.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 77.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of light rain after noon.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Partly sunny, with a high near 66.

Saturday: Showers. High near 55.

Saturday night, expect a 40 percent chance of rain before 1 a.m. with a low of 43, according to the weather service.

TROPICS: The National Hurricane Center gauges an area of disturbed weather in the north-central Atlantic Ocean as having a 30% chance of development into a tropical or subtropical depression this week.
