The update consists of several new features along with a security patch released by Google in April. HMD plans on working closely with Google to be able to push out Android updates as fast as Google does. The Android Soul has reported that the new Nougat version for the device weighs 369MB but needs at least 620MB free storage in order to install the update.

Further, new and updated emojis will now also be supported on Nokia 6.

The new update will upgrade the smartphone to Android Nougat 7.1.1 confirming the promise to keep the software updated.

This update carries the build number '00CN_3_170′ and is said to be 369 MB in size. Also, it adds support for 4G/3G dual-SIM dual-standby. Also, the software update offers a new version of the preload application. This update makes Nokia 6 one of the few smartphones that now run Android 7.1.1.

When you think about it, the Nokia 6 isn't exactly phenomenal aside from its heritage.

The Nokia 6 is quite durable as evidenced by scratch and burns tests.

While speaking to The Times of India, Ajey Mehta, the President of HMD Mobile India, revealed the tentative release date for company's Nokia phones.

With this, Nokia is planning to launch its two more Android smartphones in the world named with Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

It sports a 5.5 inches full HD display with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution, complete with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 system protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button. The rumored 22.1MP dual-camera setup on the Nokia 9 is accompanied by a 12MP sensor in the front.
