Durant explodes in his return against Pelicans

In today's NBA Basketball game, Golden State Warriors team next game is scheduled to play against New Orleans Pelicans.

Kevin Durant doesn't have time for jokes.

Head coach Steve Kerr said of Durant's lengthy return, "His conditioning was great. and I thought as the game went on, he found a good rhythm, and it was a really good night for him and for us".

The most impressive number to take away from Durant's return is 31, the amount of minutes he played.

National Basketball Association passing. I love this game.

Durant filled up the box score with 16 points (6-15 on FG, 4-4 on FT), 10 rebounds, and six assists. If you're a Warriors fan, it was definitely a good thing to see him out there doing his thing without any hindrance of movement or sign of discomfort.

After missing 19 games with a left knee injury on February 28 at Washington, Durant was finally ready to go against the injury depleted Pelicans. On the first offensive possession of the game, KD blew by Alexis Ajinca for a reverse slam.

Making it that much more forgettable was Stephen Curry sitting on the bench in street clothes with a left knee contusion and assorted bumps and bruises from a rough night in Phoenix on Wednesday.

A couple of pairs of free throws from Thompson and two 3-pointers from Draymond to close the half, though, put them up 54-46. Quinn Cook led Nola in scoring overall with 22 efficient points, while Solomon Hill provided the lowlight: two points in a 26-minute start with no made field goals. "So I just tried to focus on each day", Durant said. Taking my mind off of it was pretty good.

This, obviously, is great news for the Warriors, as Durant returning in the regular season gives both him and the team a few nights to begin to feel comfortable with his return to the lineup. Livingston tallied 14 points on 7-for-10 shooting to go along with six assists as the Warriors picked apart a Pelicans squad that was playing without All-Star bigs Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.

However the 2015 NBA Finals champions have since gone on an impressive run, with 13 straight victories, to seal their place as Western Conference top seeds for a third straight year.

Even with Durant coming back, Curry's play of late should allow Golden State to function with even more balance going forward.
