While the wait isn't officially over, we may finally have a clue as to when Season 7 of the HBO original will premiere.

Though it's been known that Game of Thrones season 7 would premiere later than normal in April (due to filming restrictions) the exact date has been left unknown.

There aren't many specifics, but you can probably expect those promotions, "Game of Thrones" and winter to come around July. HBO Now uses MLB's BAMTech technology platform for its streaming service.

"This was something we could do on a much larger scale with a partner we're much closer to", Major League Baseball executive vice president of business Noah Garden said.

Garden says that baseball is already popular with young adults, but that's often overlooked because there's so much focus on TV ratings. Teams that will take part in the promotional activities include Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals.

He added that there will be "a tremendous amount of tie-ins, not to mention what's going to happen locally with each club".

Warning: Contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones.

If you go to a baseball game this summer, you may come away with some Game of Thrones merchandise. While it is widely believed that the show's release date is in April, actor Liam Cunningham has recently given a different date for it. The Sun reported that the site listed June 25 as the air date for Season 7, episode 1.

Benioff, who co-created the show, told UFC Unfiltered podcast: "We pushed everything down the line to get some grim, grey weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot". The shooting for Game of Thrones Season 8 will start in September, he said.
