Jonathan Huberdeau scored 1:38 into overtime to give the Florida Panthers a wild 6-5 win over the Sharks on Wednesday night.

On what the Panthers have worked on in practice- "We worked an bad lot on our defensive game and we have an terrible lot of skill and it's starting to come together and guys are more comfortable with what we want to do and how to do it". Jagr is only the fifth player to compete in the National Hockey League at age 45. These last four games, he's been the player fans envisioned him becoming.

Jonathan Huberdeau stepped up and scored 1:38 into overtime to enable the Panthers to win for the fifth time in six games.

In that game, the Panthers were without a few regulars, notably Jonathan Huberdeau, who came back just February 3 after missing the first three-plus months of the season with a severed Achilles tendon.

"A lot of these goals are coming off of our shin pads, our sticks", Rowe said, noting that Florida players helped deflect four goals in the past two games past Luongo. Anybody that's packed in playing for those last playoff spots, you're going to see their best game for the rest of the season.

San Jose got one back before the end of the first, when Joe Thornton and Joel Ward each got a piece of a Burns low wrister at 15:25.

San Jose scored the only goal of a second period in which it held a 14-3 edge in shots over Florida. Pavelski scored at 16:39 to draw San Jose within one when a backhander went off the stick of Panthers defenseman Michael Matheson and past goalie Roberto Luongo.

"They're a team that feeds off of turnovers. that's on us whether it's the forwards or the defensemen", Sharks forward Logan Couture said.

The team committed enough turnovers and defensive miscues in the game's opening 10 minutes, it could put together an instructional video for the Jr.

For the second time in his last three starts, Jones gave up three goals in the first period. "We've got to be a lot tighter defensively".

Trailing 5-3 in the waning moments of the third period, Pavelski put on his star-spangled cape and scored twice in the final 3:21 to tie the game at 5-5.

Pavelski scored two late goals to send the tilt to overtime. In a span of 2:52 in the first period, Florida and San Jose combined for four goals. Pavelski picked off a lazy pass in the Panthers' zone and fed it to Burns, who fired a long-distance shot past Luongo.

First, Bjugstad notched his second tally at 2:15 after Timo Meier made a weak attempt at clearing the puck off the boards before compounding the mistake by jumping up and getting beat by Alex Petrovic into the right circle.

Injured for most of the season, Huberdeau scored his third goal in only his fourth game to mark Jagr's big night with a victory instead of a near-disastrous finish.

The Sharks rallied from the 3-1 deficit with goals by Ward and Vlasic before Pavelski missed a penalty shot.

The game settled down in the first third of the second period.

Franchise leader in games played, goals, points, power play goals, and game winning goals. In 43 AHL games this season, Goldobin is third on the Barracuda in both points (37) and assists (24). Of the first ten shots on goal, four of them resulted in goals, including three straight for the Panthers.

Despite the Sharks recent defensive woes, the team has found a way to earn points in all but one of their eight games since the all-star break, which is why the team isn't hitting the panic button just yet.
