The Washington State Department of Transportation is set to reevaluate whether the pass can open at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Finally, White Pass opened just before 2 p.m.

The westbound and eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass were reopened Friday after winter weather caused the highway to be closed since Wednesday.

UPDATE 3:00 p.m.: US 12 over White Pass has reopened to traffic, after being closed for more than a day because of several snow slides and avalanche danger.

Soaking rains were slamming western Washington while freezing rain falls on top of snow in the mountains and Whatcom County.

Stevens Pass reopened, and soon after WSDOT reported the portion of U.S. 2 that had been closed since Thursday morning for avalanche danger was reopened.

US-12 is closed both directions due multiple snow slides.

Washington State Patrol troopers said on Twitter Thursday night that trees were across the road on I-5 near the West Seattle bridge and that only the carpool lane was open. It wills start to dry out by Saturday for most. Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are possible.

WSDOT will update provide an update on Snoqualmie Pass conditions in North Bend early Thursday morning.

Tidal overflow for Puget Sound will come with the high tides.

"The mountains will be a total mess through Friday", Kelley said. "I'd expect long duration closures".
