Britney Spears Performs 'Make Me…' With G. Eazy At MTV VMAs

Britney also chose to mime her way through the performance, but her dancing was an energetic affair that got mostly everyone talking for all the right reasons.

There was some truth to the hype.

The third one was a little different because I think she hadn't performed at the VMAs in a while.

Spears will perform her new single "Make Me". Plus, she really did look like she was enjoying herself. Remember the moment when Spears grabbed his manhood? We've got a feeling she's gonna absolutely kill it. Speculations even emerged that her "Lemonade" album was entirely based on the couple's love story.

And Britney Spears kept her winning streak going as she joined talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to film some scenes at Westfield Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles on Tuesday. In particular Britney didn't want James to play "Baby One More Time" and 'Oops!. "So for us to have Spears back is a no-brainer", said executive producer of VMAs, Garrett English. She finally made a comeback in late 2008 and for the past three years, has been performing a nightly show in Las Vegas.

Congratulations, Ms. Spears, you have advanced to the next round in your auditions to re-enter pop superstardom.

Spears, at the VMAs for the first time in almost a decade, followed a 16-minute set by Beyonce Knowles that brought the house down at New York's Madison Square Garden and was always going to struggle to match up. Tons of stars showed off their best beauty looks.

G-Eazy then makes his intentions well-known here. Personally I'm not a fan of Make Me....

"Madonna. Gaga. G-Eazy. she wasnt kidding when she said everyone wanted a piece of her was she?" joked another. She walked behind him, fell to the ground, slid under his legs, and then bounced on the ground while giving a amusing face she often delivers in her Instagram pics. Thus, by taking such "complex" characters like the one mentioned gave her much drive to perform well. Or should she feel slighted that she was not given the chance to sing?

All seemed fine until G-Eazy attempted to pull Britney in for a kiss, and she pulled away with the awkward quickness. A decade ago, Spears would have accepted his advance. Last night, she wavered between wild and guarded, resulting in a more nuanced performance. If I went to a Drake or Adele concert and was met with lip synching, I would certainly be disappointed, but it's not the case here.
