After he received a lot of supportive messages from fans, Horan said they didn't need to be anxious.
Niall Horan has been been receiving abusive messages from One Direction "fans" over the past two weeks, the artist tweeted on Tuesday (May 24).

"They have been nothing but abusive", the Irish singer continued.
"Saying things you wouldn't even believe about me and my family". Apparently, a group of "fans" discovered his phone number, and started a group chat to flood him with bad message that make fun of him, and even target his precious nephew Theo.
Niall's fans were quick to rally around the star, and the hashtag #RespectNiall was soon trending worldwide on Twitter.
One Direction member Niall Horan is working on his first new songs since the group announced its hiatus in January. "But I'm just signaling it because this s***e is happening to others".
Vlogger and YouTube star Alfie Deyes replied to one of Niall's tweets and thanked him for speaking out.
Obviously learning of this abuse has been upsetting for 1D's legions of fans and Niall has tried to put their minds at rest.
Niall, being the true prince that he is, tweeted that he has a thick skin about situations like this, and just doesn't want this kind of behavior to continue. "We have no idea where we will end up".
Niall is also using the break to focus on his love of sports and has set up a golf management company with One Direction's management Modest.
Last week Newsbeat spoke to award-winning song writer, Wayne Hector, he helped the band writeBest Song Ever.
